*NEW EYFS 2012*

TRACKER

How do you think the first half term has gone with new curriculum? I don't know about you, but it took me for ever to highlight the development matter sheets. This could be because of my current cohort (with abilities ranging from as low as 22-36 months up to the 40-60 months). It therefore got me thinking about how I could assess and show coverage quicker. We all know computers make our lives easier which I why I thought a computer version which could just be clicked and edited at will, must be easier?

The NEW ASSESSMENT TRACKER is based on the NEW 2012 EYFS 17 aspects of the 7 areas of learning! It provides you with information about all the groups which should be considered on each page (i.e. SEN, SA+, FSM etc).

Both versions visually track progression effectively.

The 'Excel version' also provides you with:

*GRAPHS THAT UPDATE AUTOMATICALLY AS YOU INPUT THE DATA

* PERCENTAGES OF YOUR COHORT'S DEVELOPMENTAL STAGE THAT UPDATE AUTOMATICALLY AS YOU INPUT THE DATA

As I am sure you can understand, it has taken me a considerable amount of time to make this. There are many trackers out there (which aren't so detailed or specific). Most I have seen will give you the emerging, expected, exceeding boxes for each level (30-50 or 40-60). This is broken down to provide you with progression details WHICH OFSTED WILL BE WANTING TO KNOW!

These trackers aren't as detailed as these and sell for prices well above £100; some I have seen for as much as £300.

When I considered the price it saved me well over a days (each half term) worth of highlighting, you simple click a box and colour...or you can click multiple boxes to make it even quicker. With this in mind I then thought a Teacher averages between £60-£90 a day. I therefore thought for the time saved and the quality of this product that this is a small price to pay. I have also been getting a number of orders through schools (which pay by credit card via PayPal). This could be a option you may wish to cover? Just email and ask!

This is fantastic resource which gives you a great instant visual impact of the cohorts ability and the progression they have made.

The assessment tracker will come in word OR excel format and is fully editable, it could be completed and highlight on the computer  or it could be printed and filled in by hand. I have started completing mine on the computer and have already found it much easier.
